Easter Questionnaire

As Easter Sunday nears, it is quite natural to ask people what they think about Easter, as well as about Jesus' death and resurrection.

Below are five questions that I've used many times on campus to start conversations about Easter. A lot of times, I simply walked around campus with a partner and asked people if they wanted to answer some questions about Easter. You might also use the questions as part of a GIG about Easter.

1. Do you have any spiritual beliefs? How would you describe them? What are your beliefs about God?

2. What do you think of first when you hear the words “Good Friday” or “Easter Sunday?” Why do you think of those things come to mind first?

3. What is your opinion of Jesus Christ? What do you think is most significant about him?

4. Christians observe Good Friday as the day when Jesus was crucified on the cross. What do you think is the significance of this death?

5. Christians celebrate Easter Sunday as the day when Jesus rose from the dead. Do you believe in the resurrection of Jesus from the dead? Why or why not? If not, what would it take to convince you that Jesus did rise from the dead?
